I have been thinking about it (probably more than I should be) and I’ve finally come up with some things to put on my Christmas Wishlist! I think I’ve identified my problem as that I’m not specific enough and when it’s a male that is doing the shopping for you, detail is key! Otherwise you can end up with something that is not quite right. Some of these things are definitely a bit extravagant and much more than I would typically expect to spend on certain items but it’s called a WISHlist for a reason.
So without further ado, here is my updated Christmas Wishlist…
- Essano Micellar Water
Micellar Water is great for a girl like me who is very lazy about taking make-up off at the end of the day but I have struggled to find one which is made by a company that doesn’t test on animals. So when I heard that Essano had introduced Micellar Water, I was stoked. Essano is an afforable NZ brand which has none of the nasty stuff in any of their products. It is available at Countdown for $12.99 so definitely affordable and full of good stuff. Definitely a winner.
2. ApiClear Purifying Facial Peel
I have struggled to find a decent peel off face mask for a while now but I have seen this numerous times on Shaaanxo’s YouTube Vlogs and it looks amazing. Shans skin after using it just looks so much clearer and you can actually see the blackheads being removed (TMI?) which is great for me who gets a few around my nose. At $35.95 for 100mL, this is definitely not a bargain product but face masks are not a daily ritual which means it will last a decent while.
3. Oversized Floppy Hat
I have only recently become a fan of the oversized floppy hat. I’ve never been much of a hat wearer but I have seen some people absolutely rock them and I figure if they can – why can’t I? Obviously they are practical as hell which is great for someone like me who never remembers to sunscreen my face. But I also think they will do a good job at covering my messy beach hair which I can never be bothered straightening in the warmer weather.
4. Batiste Dry Shampoo
Following on from not being bothered to maintain my hair over summer, dry shampoo is a great accessory to have when your hair needs a wash but you can’t be bothered going through the entire process of washing, drying, straightening. My hair also gets so oily when I am exercising frequently so something to give it a quick touch up after a workout is fantastic. I’ve only ever tried the Tresemme dry shampoo which I wasn’t a huge fan of, but I’ve heard great things about Batiste so would love to give dry shampoo another shot.
5. Nude nail polish
Out of every part of my body, my nails probably get the most neglected. I will do a blog post on them one day but basically they are very small and brittle which makes painting them incredibly frustrating. However, I know how much they can enhance your appearance so in 2016 I want to make more of an effort with them. Nude nailpolish is classy, tidy and professional which is perfect for my upcoming employment opportunities.
6. 2016 day planner
I love to be organised but I have to do it in a good old fashioned paper diary. As much as I enjoy using technology in my every day life, my day planner is something which I must keep old school. There are so many options out there and as much as I love the Erin Condren day planners, I can’t justify spending upwards of $70 on one (even on a wishlist!). A simple one from Typo, like the one above, would be just fine.
Now I just need to find a way to leave this blog post lying around somewhere the BF will see it…
